We hope you enjoy the pictures in Carphile’s Jaguar E-Type series 3 gallery.
The Jaguar E-Type series 3 went on sale in August 1970. Available as a 2+2 coupe from launch with the 2 seater convertible released several months later in December 1970. Behind the (controversial) grille, flared arches and extra length to the wheelbase, mechanically the car sported some pretty big changes over the E-Types that came before it – the first outing for Jaguar’s new V12 engine, a wider track, wider wheels and tyres for improved handling, independent suspension all-round and servo-assisted brakes with ventilated front discs.
