The full-capacity entry list is packed with a huge variety of famous and classic machines. Cars from Mini, Porsche, Austin, Lotus, Cooper, Bugatti and many more will be in action on the famous hill.
Auto Union and Stuck return to Shelsley Walsh
The star attraction at Classic Nostalgia is undoubtedly the incredible V16 Auto Union Grand Prix car. The car first appeared at Shelsley Walsh in June 1936, piloted by legendary driver Hans Stuck.
In its day, this incredible Grand Prix turned-hill-climb-car (designed by Dr Ferdinand Porsche) was a technological marvel. The Auto Union returns to Shelsley Walsh in 2016 with Stuck’s son, Hans-Joachim Stuck, behind the wheel.
Classic Nostalgia honours Group B Rallying
Fifty years later, Hannu Mikkola drove the then works Audi Sport Quattro Group B car to new Closed Car record at Shelsley of 29.51 seconds in 1986. A record that stood for many years. 30 years later Classic Nostalgia pays tribute to the cars and the stars of Group B rallying.
