The NEC Classic Motor Show 2017 returns to Birmingham’s NEC from Friday 10th to Sunday 12th November.

As always, the NEC Classic Motor show 2017 promises to be a huge in every sense.  Over 2,500 classic cars and motorbikes on display in nearly 1 million square feet of show space.  It’s a cliche but there really is something for every type of car fan at this show.

The show, for many classic car fans, marks the end of the 2017 classic car season. the show is a favourite with car clubs and around 240 have stands with rare and interesting cars on display.  Like this famous one off Vanden Plas 1800 ‘Landcrab’ prototype (see it on the Vanden Plas Owners Club stand in Hall 4) .

In 1971 British Leyland engineers transformed a Wolseley 18/85 into this elegant four-window saloon but the project was cancelled by BL management and sadly never saw the light of day.  Fortunately, it escaped the scrap heap and the Vanden Plas 1800 now resides happily in Scotland.

It’s difficult to do this show justice in a few lines.  As well as the cars on show there is the Silverstone Auctions sale, spare parts and auto jumble, the return of the Wheeler Dealers on the live stage and much much more.
