Thrill on the Hill
Thrill on the Hill is a one of the largest gatherings of Morgan cars in the UK. Held at the historic Shelsley Walsh speed hill climb course in Worcestershire. This years event takes place on 11th July 2015. Find out more on our events page.
The Shelsley Walsh hill climb is one of the oldest motorsport events in the world, and holds the record for being the oldest event to have been staged continuously on the original course. The first event took place nearly 110 years ago, Ernest Instone setting the fastest time on Saturday 12 August 1905in his 35 hp Daimler.
Morgan Aero 8 GT3 car
A year before the centenary of the Morgan Motor Company, two new Aero Super Sport GT3’s were entered in the FIA GT3 race series by a team owned by former Renault Grand Prix drivers Jean Pierre Jabouille and Jacques Laffite. The cars were quick from the very start, winning the first two races of the season at Silverstone and running consistently in the top five cars throughout the rest of the year.
