DESCRIPTION:Flywheel Festival 2016 takes off for a second year at Bicester Heritage on July 2nd and 3rd 2016\, the show once again brings historic aircraft\, competition cars\, classic cars and military machines together for 2 days to the UK’s best-preserved Second World War bomber station.\nAfter a incredibly successful first year\, Flywheel Festival 2016 once again promises to showcasing the very best in aviation\, motorsport\, motoring and military history in the uniquely atmospheric and intimate Bicester Heritage setting.  This family-friendly nostalgia-fest brings together a fantastic range of entertainment that appeals to all ages. \n  \nFlywheel Festival 2016 – What’s on\nThe first Flywheel Festival was held in June 2015 and proved a huge success. Thousands of spectators flocked to see the amazing displays in the air and on the track.  Show visitors were given the chance to get up close to an exciting range of rarely seen military vehicles\, aircraft and rare racing cars. \nFiat Isotta Fraschini at Flywheel Festival – Photo (c) Pete Austin \nHighlights included the return to the former RAF Bicester of the Blenheim bomber for the first time in over 70 years\, spectacular air displays from the iconic Spitfire\, WW1 dog fight demonstrations from the Great War Display Team\, a flame-throwing Bentley-Packard special with a 41-litre engine\, a historic Sherman M4 tank\, the ex-Stirling Moss C-type\, exhilarating performances from the aircraft-engined 1905 Fiat land speed record car\, while vintage glider rides\, a ‘pop-up’ period fashion shoot and military re-enactors really brought the history of the site alive. \n  \nTickets and Admission\nNew for 2016 is the introduction of two-day weekend and family tickets\, which bring savings on buying single tickets for each day. \nAdult (ages 16 and over) single-day advance tickets for Flywheel 2016 are £23\, with adult two-day weekend tickets priced £41. \nChildren (aged 5-15) advance tickets are £7 for a single day and £12 for the weekend. \nSingle-day family advance tickets (two adults and up to three children aged 5-15) are £52\, and a family weekend ticket £92. \nChildren under five are admitted for free. \nAll adult tickets include a copy of the official souvenir programme\, worth £5. \nParking on site is free for ticket holders\, and visitors arriving in a pre-1966 vehicle can also pre-book a free display parking space in the special pre-66 parking area. \nAdvance tickets can be booked online now at Organiser website. \nPlease bookmark this page\, carphile.co.uk will bring you further information as soon as it becomes available.

DESCRIPTION:Heveningham Hall\, the 18th Century country estate in Suffolk\, is set to host its inaugural Concours d’Elegance on Saturday 2nd and Sunday 3rd July\nThe inaugural Heveningham Hall Concours d’Elegance is being held in association with auctioneers Bonhams as part of the Halls celebrations to marking the Grade I listed Georgian mansion’s 20th annual Country Fair and Capability Brown’s Tercentenary. \n  \nHeveningham Hall Concours d’Elegance – What’s on?\nThe Heveningham Hall Concours d’Elegance will feature around 50 of the most prominent pre and post war cars in history. \nThe cars that have been announced so far as entrants to the Concours d’Elegance include: a 1955 Mercedes Aluminium Gullwing\, number 19 of just 29 cars built (pictured above).  A 1995 McLaren F1 GTR and a 1926 Vauxhall 30-98 Velox. \n1995 McLaren F1 GTR \nEach of these cars has a fascinating history.  The McLaren F1 GTR was driven by Derek Bell\, Justin Bell and Andy Wallace to 3rd place in the 1995 Le Mans 24 hour race (in the year another F1 GTR won at Le Mans). It wears the unique Harrods colours and is only one of six McLaren F1 GTRs built. \n1926 Vauxhall 30-98 Velox \nThe 1955 Mercedes Gullwing competed in the legendary Mille Miglia driven by Italian Gentleman Driver Agberico Cacciari and the Vauxhall 30-98 Velox (today\, one of just 20 cars in the world) has been kept in impeccable condition.  When new the car’s polished alloy bodywork was special order and the car is one of the best specification examples\, with a counterbalanced crank\, surviving today. \nOther cars featuring in the Heveningham Hall Concours d’Elegance line up include a Ferrari 250 GTO\, Ferrari 250 GT SWB and a Jaguar D Type.  More cars and special guests will be announced in the run up to the event. \n  \nTickets and admission\nThe Concours\, takes place as part of the annual Heveningham Hall Country Fair in the 5\,000-acre estate’s Capability Brown parkland. \nThe annual Heveningham Hall Country Fair hosts around 15\,000 visitors each year.  The event distributes all proceeds to local communities for village and school projects\, church repairs\, and individual cases of need\, such as Halesworth Community Nursing Care Fund. \nFor more information and to find out how to order tickets please visit the organiser website
