DESCRIPTION:The Chelsea Car Club August meet and drive.  9am on every second last Sunday of each month throughout 2014. \nWe will meet in Hyde Park by the Pavilion on the South Carriage Drive between Alexandra Lodge and the Prince of Wales Gate and then head swiftly for a leisurely drive. \n Drives will normally last approximately one & a half hours and routes will vary every time. However should there be a more major meet / Event on\, then we will often run a convoy to it. So please note as a consequence meet times may vary therefore please email us the night before to confirm the exact details\, although full details will also be posted in our forum. \nAll Monthly Meets & Drives are Free to Attend\, so do come along! \nTo avoid disappointment of missing us and so we know attendee numbers please drop us an e-mail \nwith your contact details. Alternatively register with us on the forum and add yourself to the attendance list. \nShould we get a high number of enquiries then we will be forced to limit numbers and this will be done on a first come first served basis. As attendee numbers grow we will review the meet location\, especially within the Summer months. \nFor all enquiries please email us at info@thechelseacarclub.co.uk

SUMMARY:Simply Classics and Sports cars - Celebrating 90 years of at Beaulieu
DESCRIPTION:Britain’s favourite classic sports car name reaches its 90th anniversary this year and to celebrate the occasion MG will be the featured marque at Simply Classics and Sports Car being held at the National Motor Museum\, Beaulieu\, on Sunday 24 August. \nMGs of all ages will be on show from early VA’s and TA’s to the ever popular MGB and Midget as well as modern classics such as the MGF and MG TF plus the current MG3 and MG6 models\, with displays from regional MG clubs and individual owners plus trade stands. During the afternoon there will be a parade of selected notable MGs and a poll to find visitors’ favourite MG – the winner will receive a special Beaulieu Trophy. \nAdvance booking for the event guarantees MG clubs their own dedicated area with space for cars and a gazebo or event shelter\, while individual MG owners can reserve their place in the special MG Paddock. Gates open from 9.30am on the day.  \nEntry for MGs and their owners\, which can be paid in advance or on the day\, is £10 per adult\, £5 child – which is less than half the normal admission price. In addition to Simply Classics & Sports Car\, entry also gives access to the National Motor Museum\, World of Top Gear\, displaying vehicles used in the popular BBC television show\, On Screen Cars with vehicles from TV and film\, 13th century Beaulieu Abbey and Palace House and its gardens. \nMG Clubs and MG owners can book their place in advance by email to: events@beaulieu.co.uk or tel: 01590 614614

DESCRIPTION:The Vauxhall Heritage Centre Open Day showcases a private collection of historic cars\, open to the public for one day only on Sunday\, 24th August\, 10:00am until 4:00pm.\nVisitors will be able to view the Vauxhall motor company’s collection for free. This is an incredible opportunity to see over 50 veteran\, vintage and post-war Vauxhalls from 1903 to modern times\, as well as a number of unique concept cars. \nThe Vauxhall Heritage Centre’s Open Day will highlight a multitude of milestones from the collection. The D-Type Staff Car\, a true icon of the First World War\, celebrates its centenary in 2014\, while the Firenza ‘Droop Snoot’ celebrates 40 years since production started\, and (amazingly) the Calibra and Lotus Carlton each hit the quarter century. \nBack in the 21st Century\, the all-new 576bhp VXR8 GTS will be on display\, along with the very first VXR model – a VX220\, the sports car that launched Vauxhall’s sports brand 10 years ago. \nThe day is perfect for all ages of car enthusiasts and a great way for all the family to celebrate a collection of anniversaries!
