DESCRIPTION:The weekend offers an enticing programme of 20 races\, catering for all types of Pre- and Post-war Historic Racing and Sports-Cars. The VSCC’s own prestigious GP Itala Trophy Races form the mainstay of Saturday’s programme\, incorporating the Club’s now well-established ‘Sets’\, whilst we welcome a number of celebrated grids of the Historic Motorsport world over the two days\, including the HGPCA\, Formula Junior and F3 (500). Alongside our feature ERA 80th Anniversary Race\, a grid of genuine Pre-war Grand Prix Cars\, events for 1950s Sports Racing & GT cars and more\, there is sure to be something to account for all tastes…. \nFollowing the success of last year’s inaugural two-day format\, Spring Start will again herald the opening of the historic motor racing season on 12/13 April. With races catering for all types of Pre- and Post-war Racing and Sports-Cars\, there is sure to be machinery on display to satisfy all interests\, whilst our competing members will have a wide choice of races to exercise their various cars over the weekend\, with opportunities for everyone on both days of the meeting. \nTo find out about a timetable for the day\, entering your car and ticket prices\, please visit the organisers website

DESCRIPTION:Held in Halls 1 and 2 of Birmingham’s NEC on Saturday 12th and Sunday 13th April 2014\, the Practical Classics Restoration Show offers restoration advice\, demonstrations\, hands on experience and must have products\nbe it to individuals restoring a classic in their garage\, those looking to appoint a professional restorer or simply anyone who loves classic cars and wants to learn more about keeping them on the road. \nClassic car club displays\, restoration challenges\, a barn find auction selling restoration projects\, task and marque specific master classes from leading experts\, special guests and great cars (including the best classic restorations from all around the UK) will make Restoration Show a must attend event. There will be an extensive trader village and autojumble alongside restoration service providers – everything from top marque restorers to rust prevention specialists. \nDanny Hopkins\, Editor of Practical Classics\, said: “The classic car movement has been crying out for a really active hands-on restoration show for years. This is it. We aim to make it the season opener for years to come and in doing so inspire and reinvigorate restorers from all backgrounds and of every age.
