SUMMARY:Flying Scotsman Vintage Car Rally
DESCRIPTION:The 2014 Flying Scotsman Vintage Car Rally breaks with past tradition and move the entire event for a “Great Northern” edition\, starting out from the Forest of Arden\, very close to and with easy access to Birmingham airport. \nThis will see Day One drive north and west to an overnight hotel near Blackburn – so crews can enjoy driving the remote roads of Lancashire and Yorkshire from the start. This gets the event into the Scottish Borders on Day Two… we then drive much more of Scotland than has previously been possible\, in a giant loop that sees us finish up again at one of Scotland’s finest hotels at Gleneagles\, north of Edinburgh. \nAny pre-war cars are eligible to enter\, with a pre-war chassis\, and a pre-war engine design. Any Exceptions? Flying Scotsman Vintage Car Rally are open to persuasion that an HRG is essentially a pre-war car\, and so too is an MG T-Type. If it’s got two leaf springs at the front\, then you certainly stand a chance. Organisers are looking for the right pedigree of cars\, and more importantly\, we want crews with the right attitude – And crews come from all over the world to take part. \nTo find out more about the event and how you can enter please visit the organisers website

DESCRIPTION:Brooklands MG Era is returning for this popular annual event among MG fans and enthusiasts.  MGs of all ages are welcome. There will be action on Test Hill\, a Concours d’Elegance and a cavalcade on the Mercedes-Benz World circuit.  \nThe timetable for the days event is as follows: \n1000       Museum open\n1100	Entries open for Cavalcade (numbers are limited – please register in the Napier Room in the Clubhouse)\n1100	Judging commences for Concours d’Elegance\n1200	Cavalcade Briefing (in Napier Room – pre registered vehicles only)\n1300	Cavalcade cars gather at the Vickers Bridge\n1310-1350 Cavalcade at Mercedes-Benz World\n1430	Concours d’Elegance presentation\n1500	Test Hill Briefing (Napier Room)\n1530	Test Hill Ascents\n1700	Museum closes \nParking for MGs only on the Museum site – access through the Campbell Gate off Brooklands Road (the B374).
